Excitement for the Thriller Movie “Twisters” Builds Amongst Cast
Revisiting the iconic film “Twister” after almost thirty years, a new standalone sequel is soon to unleash a storm of excitement in theaters.
The movie stars Daisy Edgar-Jones from “Normal People” and is set in the heart of Oklahoma’s Tornado Alley, following a young enthusiast’s quest to conquer the forces of nature.
During the European premiere in London, Edgar-Jones expressed her joy at seeing her childhood dream of leading a film come to life, stating, “I feel incredibly fortunate to be here for the premiere of my film.”
The movie features a talented supporting cast, including renowned stars of present and future Hollywood.
Glen Powell, known for his roles in “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Hit Man,” emphasized his enduring love for the cinematic arts as his driving force in the industry.
Powell reminisced about his childhood spent marvelling at films in theaters, especially during the blockbuster era of the 90s, which the film “Twisters” embodies for him.
He aims to emulate that era’s cinematic magic and provide audiences with compelling reasons to flock to the theaters.
The star-studded lineup of “Twisters” includes Anthony Ramos, Daryl McCormack, and Kiernan Shipka from popular shows such as Hamilton and Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina.
Challenges During Filming
Despite the tornado scenes being CGI, filming in Oklahoma during tornado season exposed the crew to real-life extreme weather events.
Ramos recounted how an EF3 tornado struck a nearby town during their shoot, forcing them to seek shelter and experience moments of intense uncertainty.
He described his time on set as “three months of constant tension,” with several close calls that heightened the intensity of the production.
