Pearl Jam cancels Berlin shows
Pearl Jam has called off two more tour dates due to illness, following the cancellation of a London concert last week. The rock band was supposed to perform in Berlin on Tuesday and Wednesday, but had to cancel as “the group has still not fully recovered.”
The nature of the illness and which band members are affected have not been disclosed. The band mentioned that ticket refunds will be given at point of purchase. They expressed regret that a rescheduled date was not possible for this tour leg, but they are hopeful to return to Berlin soon.
Last Friday, they were forced to cancel their show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium scheduled for Saturday night due to band illness, stating that they had “no other choice.”
Band’s Apology
In an Instagram post, the band expressed their apologies for the cancellations: “We regret to announce that the Pearl Jam concerts planned for Tuesday, July 2nd and Wednesday, July 3rd in Berlin have been called off. Despite all efforts, the band has not fully recovered.”
The statement continued, acknowledging the disappointment fans must feel after investing time, money, and emotions into attending the shows. They also appreciated the hard work put in by many to organize these events. The band assured fans that these decisions are never taken lightly and they strive to fulfill their commitments.
They concluded by thanking their fans for their continued understanding and support, emphasizing its importance.
