Witness the moment when an aggressor forcefully removed headscarves from Muslim women while they were strolling through west London.
A video displays several women wearing head coverings being targeted by an individual capturing the scene in Kensington.
A user on Instagram named Bahar Mahroo shared the video online and stated, “Just as you deprive us of democracy in Iran and compel us to wear headscarves, we will snatch those very headscarves from you since we enjoy democracy in this country.”
Mahroo disclaimed any involvement in the assaults and clarified that she merely shared the videos.
The Metropolitan Police commented, “There is no tolerance for this kind of conduct in London.
“We are in communication with one of the victims, and an inquiry is in progress to ascertain the full circumstances and address any offenses.”
This incident coincides with Iranians participating in a presidential election following the tragic demise of Ebrahim Raisi in an airplane crash.
The elections have been labeled as a ‘sham,’ with significant protests throughout Europe demanding a change in regime.
Women in the nation are subject to strict laws enforced by the ‘morality police,’ which intensified after Mahsa Amini passed away in custody in 2022 when officers accused her of not wearing her head covering correctly.
Earlier this month, Mahroo encountered an attack by supporters of the Iranian government outside a community center in Wembley.
A demonstration was organized in memory of the late Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi.
