Gareth Southgate’s team found themselves trailing when Ivan Schranz scored for Slovakia in the 25th minute, causing concern for England’s progression in the tournament.
However, Jude Bellingham’s spectacular goal in the dying seconds of regular time leveled the score, sending the match into extra time.
Captain Harry Kane then gave England the lead early in extra time, and despite some tense moments, they managed to hold on to the win.
Bellingham expressed to reporters that this victory could propel the team forward in the tournament, describing his goal as a pivotal moment in his career.

England’s performance seemed lackluster in the first half, with no changes made by manager Gareth Southgate during halftime.
In the second half, England came close to scoring twice, but Phil Foden’s goal was disallowed by VAR, and Declan Rice’s shot hit the post.
Next, Southgate’s team will face Switzerland in the Euro 2024 quarter-final showdown on Saturday.
If they advance to the semi-finals, they are set to play on Wednesday, July 10.
