Glastonbury’s Decision
Glastonbury organizers have confirmed that they will not be airing England’s Euro 2024 round-of-16 match during the festival’s events this weekend.
Following Albania’s failure to defeat Spain on Monday night, Gareth Southgate’s team has successfully secured a spot in the last 16 of the European football tournament.
If England tops Group C, their round-of-16 game will take place on Sunday at 5pm. Alternatively, if they finish as runners-up, the match will be scheduled for Saturday at 8pm.
Match Scenarios
In the event that the Three Lions finish third in their group, their round-of-16 fixture will be held on Monday.
England’s upcoming game within the group stage is against Slovenia tonight.
The Festival Schedule
Glastonbury will open its doors tomorrow, with the festival’s main music performances kicking off on Friday and concluding on Sunday evening. Headliners such as Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA will grace the stages.
In an announcement made before Scotland’s elimination, festival organizers stated that they would not broadcast England or Scotland’s last 16 matches during headline performances to avoid clashes, following a similar approach adopted in 2014 and 2016.
The organizers extended their best wishes to the teams and expressed hopes of witnessing them in quarter-final action post the festival.
