Before 9:55 a.m. on Saturday, Avon and Somerset Police were summoned to a property on Mill Lane, Hambrook.
A male in his 60s was apprehended on suspicion of murder and is presently detained by the authorities.
The occurrence is believed to be an ‘isolated event,’ involving individuals with an existing acquaintance.
Though the formal identification process is pending, law enforcement presumes the deceased to be a man in his 90s, and his family has been notified.

‘A male in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in police custody.
‘A comprehensive probe into the circumstances will be conducted, led by our Major Crime Investigation Team.
‘Although the investigation is in its preliminary phase, it appears to be an isolated occurrence involving two acquaintances.
‘While there is no known ongoing threat to the public, the local community should anticipate heightened police presence in the forthcoming days as investigative procedures take place, including prominent reassurance patrols.’
