Sir Rod Stewart has achieved a rare feat: he left the monarch in fits of laughter.
The music legend was present at The King’s Foundation Awards in London last evening, with numerous celebrities gracing the glamorous occasion.
King Charles seized the chance to mingle with some renowned personalities, despite a reduction in his royal engagements following a recent battle with cancer.
During a conversation with Sir Rod and football icon David Beckham, the trio erupted into laughter thanks to a joke cracked by the music maestro.
Rod, aged 79, made a hand gesture that brought immense joy to the king and David, who could be seen chuckling in the background.
The rockstar was at the event with his spouse Penny Lancaster, who warmly embraced the king and planted a kiss on his cheek.
Looking ahead, some members of the royal family will be attending engagements this Wednesday, leading up to the Trooping of the Colour on Saturday.
The Duke of Edinburgh is scheduled to visit some gardens, while the Princess Royal will be touring the University of London.
Royal Events for the Day
The Princess Royal and Duke of Edinburgh have their schedules packed with royal engagements on the agenda today.
Princess Anne’s Engagements
Princess Anne will grace the School of Advanced Study at the University of London to commemorate the school’s three-decade milestone.
Additionally, she is slated to attend a dinner at Brunswick Group in her capacity as president of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences.
Prince Edward’s Itinerary
On the other hand, Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, will be making an appearance at the Regimental Headquarters at Wellington Barracks as part of his role as Colonel of the Scots Guards.
He will also embark on a tour of the London Gardens, fulfilling his duties as the patron of the London Gardens Society.
