Leslie Davis, aged 85 and affectionately referred to as Les, departed from his residence in the Dean Road vicinity of Scarborough on the morning of Thursday, December 19.
He has not been spotted since that time.
Les is characterized as standing 5ft 4ins tall, possessing a slight frame, and having short white or grey hair.
The police have also indicated that he typically dons a baseball cap.
A CCTV image was captured on the morning of Les’s disappearance and has now been made public.
Authorities are imploring individuals to inspect their own CCTV, video doorbell, or dashcam devices for any additional sightings.
In an official statement, North Yorkshire Police noted: “We are requesting that anyone who was present in North Bay, Scarborough – particularly in the vicinity of Royal Albert Drive – between approximately 6:40 am to 7:40 am on Thursday, December 19, reach out to us.
“We also encourage individuals to review their CCTV or video doorbell systems in the vicinity of William Street Coach Park extending towards Queens Parade and nearby areas. Additionally, please examine any dashcam footage recorded along Marine Drive that morning.
“If you have recorded any footage that might include Les, we urge you to reach out to us immediately. We welcome any sightings or other pertinent information that could aid in this investigation.
