In Glasgow, eight individuals sustained injuries after a double-decker bus collided with a railway bridge.
According to authorities, one person is in critical condition, and five individuals have been transported by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for further care.
Video footage shared online depicts a First Bus ensnared beneath the bridge on Cook Street on Saturday evening.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene at approximately 6pm.
“We are aware of several injuries, and one individual has been taken to the hospital via ambulance,” stated a spokesperson for Police Scotland.
“An immediate investigation has been initiated, and we are collaborating with Police Scotland in their inquiries.
“Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this occurrence.”
The direction of the bus at the time of the incident remains unclear, although the 4A route operates between Broomhill and Eaglesham.
Several roads have been closed, and law enforcement is advising drivers to steer clear of the vicinity.
