Authorities have issued a significant update regarding the vanishing of a young woman in London, who went missing a month prior after her mobile phone was seized.
Lilyanne Hook, aged 19, contacted her parents from an unfamiliar number on November 15, informing them she was in Peckham before the connection abruptly ended.
Since that moment, she has not communicated with her family, with her father stating to Metro; ‘she has never gone more than two days without calling her mother’.
Prior to that, the teenager had called her parents on November 11 to inform them of the theft of her phone.
Law enforcement has now confirmed a sighting on November 25, following Lilyanne’s last known appearance when she left her apartment on November 10.
The Metropolitan Police reported: ‘Officers have now substantiated a sighting of Lilyanne in Peckham on Monday, November 25.
‘They are currently confirming another, more recent sighting, and it is believed she may still be in the vicinity.
‘She managed to contact her relatives by phone on Friday, November 15. However, she did not utilize her own mobile device to make the call.’
Lilyanne’s father Mark Hook is urgently appealing for any information regarding her location.
He conveyed to Metro: ‘She’s an incredibly sociable and self-reliant young woman, but the longest we’ve gone without hearing from her previously was two days.
‘We can’t fathom why she would avoid contact, but all we want is to ensure her safety.
‘She called us from an unknown number to inform us of her phone being stolen, and we’ve been in distress ever since.’

Mark, residing in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, noted that Lilyanne has memorized her mother’s contact number and would often reach out from friends’ phones to reassure her mother when she was without her own device.
The Metropolitan Police indicated: ‘It is understood that her mobile device was stolen at some point prior to her being reported missing.
‘Lilyanne is 19 years old, Caucasian, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a slender to average physique and long wavy brown hair. Her nose is pierced on both sides.
‘She displays a large Japanese cherry blossom tattoo on her back and the number 444 on one of her arms.’
Lilyanne had relocated to London independently to embrace urban living alongside her friends after completing a year of studies at Birmingham University.
Mark expressed: ‘Her mother, sister, and I are all longing for her return. Her birthday is on December 21, and we have always cherished that day together.
‘The police are exerting their utmost efforts, examining CCTV footage, but we are still unable to locate my daughter.’
