Law enforcement has charged an individual connected to a double shooting that took place last weekend in Kensington.
The incident, which occurred at 5:30 PM on Sunday in Southern Row, western London, resulted in injuries to a 34-year-old man and an eight-year-old girl.
Paramedics swiftly arrived at the scene to provide treatment for the gunshot wounds sustained by the two victims.
Today, Jazz Reid, a 32-year-old resident of Kensington, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, along with possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Reid is scheduled to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 29 November.
Superintendent Owen Renowden, responsible for policing in Kensington and Chelsea, stated earlier this week: ‘This is a shocking incident that has left two individuals critically injured, including a young girl who, thankfully, is in stable condition this morning.
‘I urge the public who may have been in the vicinity at the time of the shooting. Did you hear any gunshots around 5:30 PM yesterday evening? Did you witness anyone fleeing the scene?
‘We are eager to hear from anyone with information regarding this incident. Your input is valuable, regardless of how trivial you may believe it to be.’
Investigations are being conducted by detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command.
They have requested that anyone with information step forward.
