An 11-year-old child has succumbed to his injuries in the hospital four days after being struck by a vehicle.
The incident occurred on Wrexham Road, near the entrance of King’s School, located in Chester, at 5:12 PM on Tuesday, November 12.
Following the accident, he was transported to Alder Hey Hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
According to Cheshire Police, the child passed away this morning, and specialized officers are providing support to his family.
A 28-year-old woman was operating the vehicle and fortunately was unharmed; no arrests have been executed as of now.
Sergeant Russell Sime commented, ‘We recognize that this was a traumatic incident, and our thoughts are with the family of the victim during this challenging time. As part of our continuing investigation, we urge anyone who may have witnessed the event or possesses relevant information to reach out.’
‘The same request is extended to those who may have recorded the incident on dashcam or CCTV.’
