A six-year-old girl is battling for her life subsequent to a collision involving three cars on a roadway in Bolton.
This young girl was among three individuals sent to the hospital on Saturday night as a result of the incident involving one vehicle.
The victims were riding in a car that was struck when another vehicle veered onto the opposite side of the Chorley Old Road while traveling eastbound.
A third vehicle was pulling out from Avenue Road, which connects to Chorley Old Road in the north-west region of the Greater Manchester area.
Emergency services arrived at the scene of the crash at approximately 10:30 PM on Saturday.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) reported that they are pursuing a variety of leads as the investigation into the occurrence progresses.
A representative stated: ‘It is believed that one of the vehicles was heading east along Chorley Old Road, while the second vehicle was exiting Avenue Street onto Chorley Old Road.’
‘The first vehicle then crossed over to oncoming traffic, colliding with the third vehicle.
Regrettably, three individuals from the third vehicle were admitted to the hospital for further medical attention. The injuries sustained by the six-year-old girl are thought to be life-threatening.
‘GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is exploring multiple lines of inquiry and is currently calling for witnesses or anyone with information related to the incident to step forward.’
