Jonathan Walker, 34, has been sentenced for his heinous crimes against a young child. Jonathan Walker, 34, was sentenced to prison today for non-recent offences committed against the young victim, a decision that underscores the court’s commitment to justice.
Walker, of Liversedge, was found guilty following a trial at Leeds Crown Court in August.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Natalie Green of the Kirklees District Child Safeguarding Unit described the offences as “appalling” and said the victim had been deeply affected.
She thanked the victim for their bravery and hoped it would bring closure on a “tough” time.
DC Green concluded, “I hope this sentence serves as a reassurance to all victims that we are here to support and take all reports of sexual offences seriously, regardless of when they occurred.”
Jonathan Walker, hailing from Liversedge, has been incarcerated.
