Doncaster—Operation Duxford returned to Doncaster Today in a significant vehicle crime crackdown. Law enforcement officers made multiple arrests and executed warrants across the borough. The operation addresses rising concerns related to vehicle theft and organised crime groups (OCGs) activities.
Officers have conducted a series of enforcement actions throughout the day, including operations targeting off-road bikes and road traffic violations. A notable highlight was a warrant executed at a suspected vehicle ‘chop shop’—where stolen cars are dismantled for parts.
In addition to vehicle-related arrests, the Modern Slavery Human Trafficking (MSHT) team has been active in the city centre, engaging with local eating establishments as part of its operation.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Ronayne, who is spearheading Operation Duxford, stated, “This operation is designed to address the key concerns of our community. It underscores our dedication to combating crime, reducing antisocial behaviour, and safeguarding vulnerable individuals. Our focus Today is on tackling vehicle crime and disrupting the operations of organised crime groups.”
He continued, “Today’s actions serve as a visible demonstration of our commitment. We encourage the public to engage with our officers and address any questions or concerns they may have. Working together strengthens our efforts.”
Residents are urged to report crimes by calling 101 or 999 in emergencies where life is at risk.
On Wednesday, September 4, Operation Duxford returned to Doncaster for a full day of focused activity.
