Footage captures the moment a passenger was forcibly removed from a Jet2 aircraft at Manchester Airport.
According to staff, the individual became ‘exceptionally disruptive’ prior to the departure of the flight heading to Dalaman, Turkey, on Thursday.
Numerous passengers filmed the incident as three police officers escorted the man from the rear of the cabin.
With his head bent and hands bound behind him, he was heard shouting profanities and struggling as he was led away.
Other travelers appeared to recoil from him, with one man, carefully cradling a beer, keeping his drink out of reach.
Jet2 confirmed that the aircraft had reached the runway before the incident occurred, necessitating the pilot to return to the gate.
The flight experienced a delay of one hour and fifteen minutes. It remains unclear whether the individual was subsequently arrested or charged.
A representative from the airline stated: ‘We can confirm that flight LS921 returned to the gate earlier today (Thursday, August 29th) so that police could remove a particularly disruptive passenger.’
‘We would like to express our gratitude to the police and our crew for their management of this situation. The flight continued after the removal of the passenger, and we apologize to our customers for the delay, as well as any distress caused.’
‘As a family-friendly airline, we maintain a strict zero tolerance policy regarding disruptive behavior from passengers.’
