Oasis has issued a caution regarding individuals reselling tickets for their reunion tour at inflated prices.
The band communicated via X: “We have observed persons attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the commencement of the pre-sale. Please be aware that tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, through @Ticketmaster and @Twickets.”
They further indicated that tickets sold in violation of the terms and conditions will be annulled by the promoters.
This announcement follows fan outrage as tickets purchased by individuals possessing early access codes from a pre-sale ballot were reportedly being resold for over £6,000.
A limited number of individuals had the opportunity to secure a highly sought-after ticket between 7pm and 10pm last Friday, with tickets sold on a “first come, first served” basis.
However, soon after their release, standing tickets priced on StubHub varied from approximately £807 to £3,615, while some lower-level seats soared to an astonishing £6,347.
The resale platform Viagogo also listed tickets for upwards of £2,000.
One supporter expressed on X: “Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Oasis this is profoundly unjust. Many of us yearn to see you perform.”
An additional individual remarked: “The reality that Oasis tickets are already being resold at outrageous prices makes me feel nauseated. What opportunity do genuine fans have?”
Sky News has reached out to StubHub and Viagogo for their statements.
Oasis sparked excitement among fans after confirming the band’s reunion on Tuesday morning, following a period of speculation.
This comeback occurs 15 years after Noel famously departed.
