Stars from Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory Join Edinburgh Fringe Parody
Appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe will be two original actors from the popular film Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory. Julie Dawn Cole and Paris Themmen, known for their roles as Veruca Salt and Mike Teevee in the 1971 movie, will collaborate as narrators for the musical parody titled Willy’s Candy Spectacular.
This parody is inspired by the ill-fated Willy’s Chocolate Experience in Glasgow, which caused an uproar among parents and disappointment among children. What was advertised as a “chocolate fantasy” turned out to be a poorly decorated warehouse offering minimal treats, resulting in a chaotic situation.
The show’s cast was revealed, featuring Shelley Regner, Eric Petersen, Nicole Greenwood, Wilkie Ferguson, Cassandra Parker, along with musicians Monica Evans and Chris Villain.
Richard Kraft created the show, and Andy Fickman directed it. The production will be staged at the Pleasance King Dome from 9-26 August.
Julie Dawn Cole and Paris Themmen will alternate narrating duties between 9-26 August.
Kirsty Paterson, known for her viral portrayal as a sad Oompa Loompa at the Glasgow event, will also be part of the cast.
According to the organizers, there may even be surprise appearances from a few unknown guests, adding to the excitement of the show.

### An Evil Chocolate-Maker’s Legacy
Felicia Dawkins took on the role of The Unknown, an evil chocolate-maker dwelling within the factory’s walls, at the original event. Her chilling portrayal has now extended to spooking children at the London Dungeon.
### The Evolution of the Willy’s Chocolate Experience
Producer, Mr. Kraft, shared his journey of conceiving a stage musical idea, which swiftly materialized with a talented team of songwriters creating a score of 16 tunes. Director Andy Fickman joined the project, leading to the formation of a dream cast that will debut the production at the Edinburgh Fringe. Mr. Kraft expressed his astonishment at how seamlessly everything fell into place, describing the experience as simply delightful.

## A Delectable Musical Adventure Unfolds
The musical promises to be a whimsical parody, distinct from Roald Dahl’s famed works. The team emphasizes that the production is independent of any copyright holders associated with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Furthermore, it is not in any way linked to the House of Illuminati, the organization linked to the Glasgow event.
