Renowned music artist Paloma Faith is scheduled to narrate a bedtime story on CBeebies as part of a special Glastonbury Festival feature.
The talented 42-year-old vocalist recorded her narrative at Worthy Farm in Somerset, where she recently gave a captivating performance barefoot on the Pyramid Stage, describing the moment as “enriching and uplifting”.
In this narration, Faith will be sharing The Party Animals by Alex Willmore, airing this Thursday at 6.50 pm.
The story revolves around a mischievous troop of monkeys who intrude on the tranquility of other forest creatures with their raucous all-night revelries, offering notable insights on inclusivity, empathy, and celebrating diversity.
The mother of two has daughters aged seven and three, as announced in a candid Instagram post, following her separation from their father and longtime partner, French artist Leyman Lahcine.
During her Glastonbury gig, Faith tendered advice to the male attendees post her rendition of Sweatpants from her latest album The Glorification Of Sadness, exploring themes of relationship endings.
‘Initiate Action Promptly, Don’t Hesitate’
Reflecting on her experiences with dating applications, Faith cautioned about the erratic nature of such platforms where genuine connections seem scarce.
She further remarked, “Maintaining togetherness is crucial, however, fostering resentment poses the real obstacle.”
She emphasized, “Therefore, my plea, specifically to heterosexual men, if married… steadfastly observe that recurring actions necessitate attention; hence, act without delay.”
Post recovering from a sore throat earlier, she enthralled the crowd with her classic tracks, although her engaging banter prompted producers to encourage her to maintain the show’s schedule to prevent exceeding the allocated time.
Faith’s story segment forms a part of an array of Glastonbury Festival specials that also includes Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno presenting Unicorns Don’t Love Sparkles by Lucy Rowland and Abigail Morris from The Last Dinner Party reading Sam Francisco, King Of The Disco by Sarah Tagholm.
