After being hit by a vehicle, a four-year-old boy, who was taken to the hospital in Leicester yesterday, is reportedly in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver responsible for the accident, Karoly Obreclan, 62, of Luther Street, faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as reported by Leicestershire Live.
Obreclan is scheduled to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court on July 15. Following the incident, the police closed off Cranmer Street at the junction with Hinckley Road.
According to an anonymous witness, the scene was chaotic with multiple emergency vehicles arriving swiftly. The street was cordoned off, and investigators thoroughly examined the area, indicating the severity of the situation.
