A prank involving a sex toy sing-along has resulted in a Kwik Fit manager facing disciplinary measures.
The parody karaoke event was purportedly executed using a customer’s sex toy in full view of another patron.
Nonetheless, the joke was poorly received by Kwik Fit executives, prompting an investigation upon the footage surfacing.
The staff member faced disciplinary consequences for compromising a customer’s privacy and trust.
This vulgar incident occurred on November 27 of the previous year at a Kwik Fit service center located in Dalkeith, Midlothian.

A whistleblower commented, ‘The video showing a manager singing into a sex toy, which was taken directly from a customer’s vehicle, was circulated – in front of another individual.’
‘How can one trust Kwik Fit when they are rifling through your personal belongings rather than ensuring your vehicle is safe to drive?’
The incident followed a staff member discovering that his name was being recorded on jobs during his time off.
The former employee asserted that a junior colleague was completing tasks for which he wasn’t sufficiently trained.
He also mentioned that an audit revealed discrepancies in wheel alignments.
He further expressed, ‘This is not only unjust to me, as any errors made by these unqualified personnel could lead to an investigation directed at me if something goes wrong.’
‘My primary concern is the safety of the customers involved.’
‘Kwik Fit continually asserts that customer safety on the road is their utmost priority and that they provide the best professional guidance.’
‘An employee who has not undergone the necessary training for servicing does not provide the best guidance.’

Kwik Fit informed the Daily Record that the allegations were thoroughly investigated and actions were implemented.
A spokesperson stated, ‘We are aware of a video showcasing an employee behaving inappropriately at one of our centers.’
‘Upon viewing the video, we immediately commenced an investigation and have executed formal measures in accordance with company procedures.’
Kwik Fit also mentioned that some customers had been contacted following incongruences in completed work.
The spokesperson added, ‘We acknowledge the assertions made by a former employee concerning servicing.’
‘We have assessed the jobs in question, and while they were conducted by a team member who hadn’t completed our service training, an experienced technician was also present.’
‘Our investigation did highlight that the tasks were not accurately logged in our system.
‘We are reaching out to the involved customers to invite them to visit us at their convenience to have the work reassessed at no charge, along with updating their records.’
