The 76-year-old may not possess a record adorned with Premier League or European accolades, but he remains one of the most recognized personalities in English football.
A significant portion of Warnock’s managerial career has taken place in Yorkshire, with Middlesbrough and Rotherham United also featuring as his former employers.
Over the years, several clubs attempted to secure Warnock’s services but ultimately fell short—he has even stated that Chelsea is among the unsuccessful ones.

During an appearance with renowned goalkeeper David Seaman on the Seaman Says podcast, Warnock proclaimed that he had the chance to manage the Blues in the early 1990s.
He remarked, “I successfully promoted Notts County from the third division to the first, which is the current Premier League.”
“In subsequent years, I declined approaches from Chelsea and Sunderland and chose to remain where I was.”

“Then they dismissed me just six months later. I felt utterly devastated; I thought to myself, ‘after what I accomplished, how could this happen?’”
Warnock has since retired from management and frequently contributes to the media. His final role was with Aberdeen in Scotland, although his tenure at Pittodrie was brief.
Currently, he serves as a football advisor for non-league team Torquay United.
