Recent CCTV footage has unveiled that two sisters, who went missing in Aberdeen, had visited the bridge where they were last recorded prior to their disappearance.
Authorities from Scotland stated that a text message was dispatched to the women’s landlady on the morning they went missing, suggesting they would not be returning to their residence.
Eliza and Henrietta Huszti, both 32 years of age, were last observed in the vicinity of Victoria Bridge on Market Street in the city around 2:12 AM on Tuesday, January 7.
The sisters, who are part of a trio of triplets and hail from Hungary, were seen traversing the bridge and veering right onto a pathway adjacent to the River Dee, heading toward Aberdeen Boat Club.
Their mysterious vanishing has triggered an extensive search initiative.
Police Scotland updated the public on Friday indicating that the sisters were spotted at the same bridge around 2:50 PM on Monday, January 6—approximately 12 hours prior to their last sighting.
The authorities noted that both sisters, equipped with backpacks, spent five minutes at the pathway and the Victoria Bridge without interacting with anyone else.
Investigators are now seeking anyone who may have observed the sisters during this earlier timeframe to step forward.
Post their visit to the bridge, the sisters were documented on CCTV navigating through the city center, passing through Union Square shopping center, making their way back to their accommodation in the Charlotte Street area.
Authorities from Police Scotland indicated that there is “no evidence to suggest” that the sisters exited their flat again until shortly before they were last seen at the River Dee in the early hours of the subsequent morning.
A text message was transmitted from Henrietta’s mobile device to their landlady while they were last sighted, conveying they would not be returning to the apartment.
The phone subsequently became disconnected from the network and has remained inactive since.
The next day, personal belongings belonging to the sisters were located within the apartment, prompting the landlady to express her concerns to the authorities.
Superintendent David Howieson remarked: “We have undertaken an extensive review of both public and private CCTV footage as we seek to establish the sisters’ whereabouts.
“The response from the public regarding our appeals has been affirmatively positive, and I would like to express my gratitude to all those who have come forward.
“I would once again implore anyone possessing information that could aid in locating Eliza and Henrietta to step forward.”
“We maintain consistent communication with Eliza and Henrietta’s family in Hungary.
We will persist in extending our assistance to them during this profoundly challenging period.
“Search operations will carry on in the upcoming days, and our officers will spare no effort in locating Eliza and Henrietta.”

“We are genuinely anxious about Eliza and Henrietta; our sole wish is for them to be located.”
