Tom Holland’s father has verified his son’s engagement to Zendaya, disclosing how the 28-year-old meticulously orchestrated the proposal.
Zendaya, who is also 28, ignited engagement speculation when she attended the Golden Globes last Sunday adorned with a dazzling diamond ring on her finger.
While neither celebrity has publicly commented on the rumors, Tom’s comedian father, Dominic Holland, has now revealed that the couple is preparing to marry.
He mentioned in a post on his Patreon account: “Tom, as you are likely aware by now, was remarkably well-prepared. He had procured a ring.”
“He had also conversed with her father and received approval to propose to his daughter.”
“Tom had every detail sorted… When, where, how, what to articulate, what to don,” he elaborated.
Dominic also observed that while many men are anxious about the cost of an engagement ring, he believes his actor son was “more focused on the gem, its size and clarity, its setting, and which jeweler to choose.”
Tom and Zendaya initially met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, portraying the titular hero and his love interest MJ, respectively. Their romantic involvement was publicly acknowledged in 2021.
In his message, Tom’s father expressed concerns that their high-profile status could potentially strain their relationship.
He commented: “I do worry that their joint fame will heighten their exposure and the associated pressures, yet they continually astonish me with their ability to navigate through it all seamlessly.”
“And even though the entertainment industry is fraught with challenges for relationships—especially for well-known couples who often experience public breakups that are too many to enumerate—yet I have unwavering faith that they will forge a successful partnership.”
