Two individuals have been apprehended on allegations of homicide following the passing of a man who was struck by a vehicle after a dispute at a bar on Christmas Day.
Authorities were alerted to reports of a disturbance outside The Gate Street Bar and Grill in Blackburn, Lancashire, shortly before 4:50 PM.
Kirk Marsden sustained numerous critical injuries after being hit by a Toyota Land Cruiser, according to law enforcement officials.
The 37-year-old resident of Blackburn was transported to Royal Preston Hospital but succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Boxing Day.
Mr. Marsden’s family has shared a heartfelt tribute stating: “To our hero, spread your wings far and wide. Your partner Leanne and your little ones love you beyond measure. You truly were unmatched, goodnight x.
“Kirk, you were a deeply cherished son, brother, and uncle who will be profoundly missed. Rest peacefully with your dad now in heaven x.”
A 58-year-old man without a permanent address and a 31-year-old man from Blackburn have been apprehended and are currently in custody.

A Toyota Land Cruiser has been retrieved from a parking area located less than half a mile from the bar where officers were dispatched.
Anyone possessing CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell cameras that cover the vicinity between Livesey Branch Road and Brindle Street is urged to verify if they captured footage of the vehicle between 4:48 PM and 5 PM on Christmas Day.
Detective Chief Inspector Bryony Midgley, from the major investigation unit of Lancashire Police, stated: “This tragic event has resulted in the loss of a life, and our primary thoughts are with Kirk’s family and friends.”
Mr. Marsden’s death is regarded as an isolated incident, she further noted.
