Next week, temperatures are forecasted to drop to as low as -7C following a mild weekend.
On Sunday, highs could reach 16C, although parts of the UK are expected to experience wet and blustery conditions, as reported by the Met Office.
A decrease in temperature at the start of next week will lead to freezing conditions and frost overnight on Monday, stated spokeswoman Becky Mitchell.

“Temperatures on Monday night could plummet to around -7C in certain areas of rural Scotland, likely making it the coldest night of the week,” she mentioned.
Ms. Mitchell indicated that the mild weather this weekend would result in highs of approximately 15C in the southeast of England, with maximum temperatures reaching up to 16C in the southwest on Sunday.
“Conditions will be quite wet and windy; we will see numerous bands of rain approaching from the west, some possibly heavy, and it will also be quite breezy across the country,” she added.
“While the rain could be heavy in some locations, we do not anticipate any substantial amounts that would lead to significant concerns.”

The onset of cooler weather will begin on Monday, with temperatures anticipated to be slightly below the norm, accompanied by sporadic rain showers and a northerly breeze.
On Tuesday, rain is expected to gradually invade from the west.
“Throughout this period, temperatures will hover around the mid-single figures, resulting in a rather chilly feel. Frost is also anticipated overnight, especially on Monday night,” remarked Ms. Mitchell.
“After that, temperatures are likely to normalize midweek, with occasional rain and some dry spells as well.”
