The oldest individual in the world has passed away at the age of 112, according to Guinness World Records.
John Tinniswood was born in Liverpool on August 26, 1912, the same year the Titanic sank.
He departed this life on Monday at a residential care facility in Southport, as confirmed by Guinness World Records.
“His final day was enveloped in melodies and affection,” his family remarked in a statement.
In April 2024, at the age of 111, he was recognized as the oldest living man in the world, succeeding the late 114-year-old Juan Vicente Perez from Venezuela.
Mr. Tinniswood’s primary counsel for maintaining health was to embrace moderation. “If you consume too much alcohol, or eat excessively, or even walk too much; indulging in any activity to excess will bring suffering in due time.”
A devoted supporter of Liverpool FC, he was born merely 20 years after the establishment of the club.
