Adele shed tears while thanking her fiancé Rich Paul and her son Angelo during her final show of the Las Vegas residency.
The acclaimed British singer-songwriter has held a weekend residency at Caesars Palace for the past two years.
Addressing the audience, Adele mentioned: “To my son, I opted for a residency… so I could maintain a semblance of normalcy in his life. I succeeded in that, but I also, and I wouldn’t alter it for anything, now I get to spend weekends with him because he can’t always accompany me. So I adore you endlessly; thank you for your patience with me as well.
“To my partner Rich, or my fiancé, I appreciate your constant support and for always encouraging me to achieve my dreams. There have been moments when I’m too fatigued or emotionally exhausted and you say, ‘Come on, darling, get up there.’
She continued: “It’s been an incredible experience and I will deeply miss it, and I will miss all of you immensely. I don’t know when I will want to perform again… Naturally, I’ll return; the only thing I excel at is singing, I just haven’t decided when I wish to grace the stage next.”
Adele, 36, expressed her gratitude to her fans for attending her Las Vegas performances.
The artist announced her engagement to sports agent Rich Paul, 43, in August. Adele and charity executive Simon Konecki welcomed their son in 2012 before ultimately parting ways in 2019.
