A family has been left “utterly shattered” following the discovery of a woman deceased in a flat located in South Lanarkshire.
The remains of Phoenix Spencer-Horn, aged 21, were found at the premises in East Kilbride’s Glen Lee at approximately 12:10 PM on Monday.
A 26-year-old individual has been taken into custody and charged in relation to the incident, and is set to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court later on Wednesday.
Police Scotland reported that a document has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Chief Inspector Susie Cairns stated: “Phoenix’s family is clearly in shock and completely heartbroken by the events that have unfolded, and we will continue to offer our support to them and others impacted during this deeply troubling time.”
