Supermarket leader Aldi plans to inaugurate 11 additional stores throughout the UK leading up to Christmas.
New locations in Sedgley located in the West Midlands and Castle Douglas in Scotland are set to open this week, alongside stores in Horsham, West Sussex, and Muswell Hill, London, which are expected to welcome customers in November.
The growth will also see new stores opening in Totton, Hampshire, Cribbs Causeway in Bristol, and Pwllheli in Gwynedd, all scheduled before Christmas.
Furthermore, over 15 existing stores will receive upgrades in the coming weeks to enhance the shopping experience and introduce more sustainable elements.

The recent openings are a part of Aldi’s ambitious goal to establish 1,500 stores across the UK, with the supermarket planning to allocate £800 million towards expanding its presence this year alone.

Aldi Store Assistants start with a wage of £12.40 an hour, with those in London receiving £13.65 per hour. Additionally, Aldi is the sole supermarket chain offering paid breaks, which for the typical store employee is valued at over £900 annually.
