Six adolescents have been apprehended following the discovery of a 13-year-old girl with multiple stab injuries on a roadside close to Hull.
Authorities reported that she was located around 6:50 AM on the A63 in Hessle, suffering from “life-threatening injuries” including “lacerations to her neck, abdomen, chest, and back.”
Four boys and two girls, ranging in age from 14 to 17, were swiftly detained in a nearby forested region and are currently being interrogated on suspicion of attempted homicide.
Members of the community rushed to assist the girl before the arrival of emergency services, according to Humberside Police.
Detective Superintendent Simon Vickers indicated that they “believe the assailants were acquainted with the victim,” and the situation is still under investigation.
“The girl is currently hospitalized in critical condition, and her family is receiving support from officers during this challenging time,” he stated.
The boys taken into custody are aged 14, 15, 16, and 17, while the girls are aged 14 and 15.

Perimeters have been established around a wooded area off Ferriby High Road as the investigation proceeds.
Law enforcement stated that there would be an augmented presence in the vicinity over the weekend and urged anyone with information or video footage to come forward, or to reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously.
