Authorities are on the lookout for a 13-year-old girl who vanished in Newcastle last night.
Jessica Mattinson, hailing from Gateshead, was last recorded on surveillance cameras in the heart of Newcastle shortly before her unexplained absence.
Surveillance footage depicts Jessica checking her mobile phone while dressed in grey flared trousers, a light grey top, white flip-flops, and a black coat.
The video was taken around 5.25pm yesterday evening on Grainger Street.
Jessica is characterized as a white female, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall, of average build, with long mousey brown hair.
Anyone possessing information regarding Jessica’s disappearance is strongly urged to contact Northumbria Police at 101, referencing log number NP-20241027-0895.
A Northumbria Police representative stated: ‘Can you assist us in locating Jessica Mattinson?
Jessica, from Gateshead, was observed on Grainger Street in the Newcastle city centre around 5.25pm yesterday.
‘The 13-year-old is described as a white female, measuring 5 feet 4 inches tall, of average build, with long mousey brown hair.
‘She was last spotted wearing a light grey top, light grey flared trousers, a black jacket, and white slider shoes – as shown in the surveillance image on the right.’
‘Anyone with relevant information should reach out to us at 101, referencing log number NP-20241027-0895.’
The news of Jessica’s disappearance emerges only a day after 69-year-old Gordon Hamilton was reported missing in Newcastle.
Gordon was last seen on Clayton Street around 6.30am on Saturday morning and is described as a 5 feet 6 inches male, of slim build, with grey hair.
Anyone having information concerning Gordon’s whereabouts is also encouraged to contact Northumbria Police.
