Certain areas of the UK might experience temperatures soaring to 22C (71.6F) this week, as indicated by the Met Office.
Meteorologists predict that the cooler temperatures observed this weekend will gradually rise, leading to much more temperate conditions for everyone throughout the following week, hitting a high on Wednesday.
Some locations could see temperatures roughly 10C warmer by midweek, with London possibly reaching above 20C (68F).
Maximum temperatures are anticipated especially in East Anglia and the surrounding Home Counties, which the Met Office suggests could approach 22C.
The majority of regions are expected to experience temperatures in the mid-teens on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
How’s the weather in your locality?
“Temperatures are expected to increase steadily, likely peaking on Wednesday in eastern regions, and we could see some locations reaching 20C, with 22C a strong possibility, particularly in eastern England – specifically, East Anglia extending towards the South East,” commented Met Office meteorologist Tom Morgan.
“However, it will feel considerably milder for everyone compared to current temperatures.”

“It is likely we could surpass 20C in London, but the highest temperatures may occur further in the Home Counties and up towards Cambridgeshire,” he added.
He cautioned that this pleasant weather will be fleeting, yielding to wetter and windier conditions by the upcoming weekend.
This is particularly expected in the North West, encompassing Scotland and Northern Ireland, though to a lesser extent in the South East.
In Wales and the West, that wet weather might arrive by midweek, he noted.
