At least six individuals have lost their lives, and nine others sustained injuries in a shooting and stabbing incident in Tel Aviv, according to Israeli authorities.
Two assailants initiated their presumed terrorist act on the city’s light rail network before proceeding on foot, officers reported.
The attackers discharged firearms on a boulevard in Jaffa, a diverse Arab-Jewish district situated in southern Tel Aviv.

Civilians and inspectors eventually shot the two assailants with their personal weapons.
This attack occurred just moments prior to a significant missile barrage from Iran that forced people into bomb shelters across Israel, including in Tel Aviv.
Television footage captured the gunmen exiting a light rail station and opening fire.
Israel‘s MDA ambulance service reported receiving a notification at 7:01 PM local time (5:01 PM UK time) regarding individuals injured due to gunfire.
Upon arrival, medical personnel attended to several victims with various injuries, including some who were unresponsive, the MDA noted.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident, however, Israeli finance minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that the attackers were Palestinians hailing from the West Bank city of Hebron.
