Authorities are seeking a 23-year-old individual in relation to a deadly accident involving a van and five additional vehicles on the M40 motorway.
A woman in her 50s, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, unfortunately lost her life at the scene of the incident on the northbound lane.
Warwickshire Police reported that five vehicles and a Peugeot boxer van were implicated in the incident that occurred between Junction 11 for Banbury, in Oxfordshire, and Junction 12 for Gaydon, in Warwickshire, shortly before 7:15 PM on Saturday.
The driver of the van is believed to have fled the scene on foot.
Investigators are eager to locate Akashdeep Singh, who is also known as Akash, and has affiliations with the West Midlands, especially the Oldbury region.
The police have expressed their desire to speak with him as he may possess pertinent information regarding the accident.
“We encourage anyone in the community who has information that could assist us in locating him or providing insights about the incident to reach out,” a statement indicated.
“Additionally, we urge anyone who has dashcam recordings of the accident, the Peugeot, and its driving behavior prior to the collision to share that information with us.”
