Convicted fraudster Anna “Delvey” Sorokin made her appearance on Dancing With The Stars, flaunting a glittering ankle monitor.
The so-called “imposter heiress,” who deceived Manhattan’s affluent figures out of substantial amounts, took to the dance floor on Tuesday with the return of the US television show for a new season.
Sorokin conned financial institutions and New York Cityand subsequently served time in prison.
However, her incarceration did not diminish her notoriety, as the Netflix series Inventing Anna premiered while she was still incarcerated.
Now, she finds herself back in the spotlight, trading prison confines for a stage on Dancing With The Stars.
“It’s genuinely not a big concern at all,” Sorokin remarked about the ankle monitor following the show’s premiere.
“It’s quite lightweight, and I requested them to tighten it so it doesn’t swing. So it’s not too terrible.”
“I feel relieved that it’s finally over,” she expressed after her performance. “I believe my dance could have been a tad better, but I’m delighted I had the opportunity to do this; it was an incredible experience overall.”
Her dance partner, Ezra Sosa, dubbed the embellished ankle monitor “the true star of the show.”
Sorokin expressed a desire for the audience to be somewhat lenient despite her past offenses.
“Hopefully individuals will grant me an opportunity to demonstrate my abilities. I have served my sentence and settled my restitution,” she stated.

Who is Anna Delvey?
Sorokin was freed from prison in February 2021 but was apprehended by immigration authorities shortly after her release due to claims that she overstayed her visa and should be deported to her homeland in Germany.
She spent over a year in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) before a judge permitted her to transition to home confinement in October 2022 while she contests her deportation.
Her release conditions needed to be revised to enable her travel from New York to Los Angeles for the production of Dancing With The Stars.
