The remains of four climbers were discovered on the French side of Mont Blanc.
Officials from the French rescue teams reported that the bodies were located near the summit of the mountain after the climbers were reported missing on Saturday due to adverse weather conditions.
The Chamonix-Mont Blanc search and rescue crew uncovered the corpses of the climbers, which included two Italians and two from South Korea, at an elevation of 4,700 meters (over 15,400 ft) on the tallest peak in the Alps.
Rescue officials indicated that they succumbed to hypothermia.

The solo climbers had contacted rescue services on Saturday afternoon, but worsening weather conditions hampered efforts for rescuers to reach them, both from the ground and by air.
On Sunday morning, two additional South Korean climbers were successfully saved at an altitude of 4,100 meters (over 13,400 ft) after a highly intricate operation was carried out by the rescuers.
French authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.
