Roadways have been shut down following a light aircraft’s emergency landing on an industrial site in Chesterfield.
Derbyshire Police reported that they are actively managing the situation after the aircraft descended onto property located off Sheepbridge Lane.
This occurrence transpired shortly after 9 am today, and it remains uncertain whether any individuals have sustained injuries.
Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service along with East Midlands Ambulance Service are also present at the site.
“Roadways in the nearby vicinity are blocked and will stay closed for an extended period while inquiries into the incident are undertaken,” authorities stated.

According to Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service on X, three fire units and an ambulance are at the scene.
Flight tracking service Flightradar24 shared an image of the aircraft’s descent, indicating, “The final signal we obtained from the aircraft was over Sheepbridge at 08:03 UTC at a height of 600 feet.”
The flight tracker also suggested that the aircraft in question was a private Evektor SportStar.
The community has been urged to steer clear of the area.
