Oasis enthusiasts have eagerly pursued tickets for the band’s much-anticipated reunion tour, facing technical glitches and enduring lengthy waits in online queues.
Noel and Liam Gallagher announced the band’s long-anticipated reunion on Tuesday, declaring, “The long wait is finally over.”
Tickets for the Oasis Live 25 tour sold out within mere hours, with the band communicating on X at 7 PM that tickets for all 17 performances in London, Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin had been sold.
Oasis reunion: Fans express frustration after website malfunctions
The rush for tickets began long before the 9 AM sale (8 AM for the two gigs in Dublin), as the Manchester-based promoter SJM Concerts’ sites Gigs and Tours, Ticketmaster, and See Tickets notified visitors that they needed to wait for the page to refresh to enter the waiting room.
In just a few minutes, the online queues exceeded 500,000 individuals.
Both Gigs and Tours and See Tickets appeared to experience technical difficulties from 8:30 AM until approximately 12:30 PM.
A representative from Ticketmaster refuted claims that the website had crashed, despite fans sharing screenshots displaying error notifications, while others noted a significant lag in the website’s performance.
Some ticket-seekers reported being “suspended” by Ticketmaster UK and Ireland after the platform mistakenly identified them as “bots.”
The company advised users through its customer service account on X to ensure they were utilizing only a single tab, clearing cookies, and refraining from using any VPN services.
‘The countdown begins’
For those fortunate enough to secure tickets, the countdown for the live performances has commenced.
Olivia Bridge – who has a Live Forever tattoo to commemorate her favorite Oasis track – shared with Sky News that she constantly checked her email to “confirm its authenticity” after acquiring tickets for Manchester’s Heaton Park.
“The countdown has begun until next year; [I am] simply elated,” she expressed, adding, “It hasn’t fully registered yet.”
Meanwhile, fans attempting to obtain accessible tickets for the five shows at Wembley Stadium in London described it as an “unachievable task” as they dialed one dedicated phone line countless times.

Frances Mobbs, residing in Norfolk, aimed to purchase four tickets for her son Nick Mobbs, 41, his caregiver, and two relatives for the concert on July 26.
She submitted necessary documents for the accessible tickets and attempted to call incessantly for two hours when the phone line opened, yet reported that the line was “continuously busy or indicating we are unable to complete your call.”
“It’s disheartening, utterly and completely disheartening,” she expressed.

‘Appalling conduct’
Enthusiastic fans were also cautioned by the social media platform X that the band had permitted Ticketmaster to sell tickets at inflated prices through dynamic pricing.
This resulted in standing ticket prices escalating from a face value of £150 to £350 in mere hours due to overwhelming demand.
One fan on X termed the dynamic pricing as an “absolute disgrace,” labeling it a “shameful tactic.”
Another user remarked: “Utter disgrace from @TicketmasterUK charging £360 for a sought-after standing ticket after being advertised for £150, absolutely appalling conduct.”
When confronted about this matter, Ticketmaster stated that it does not dictate prices and provided a link to its website where it mentions that costs can be “fixed or market-driven.”
It is asserted that the pricing of tickets is determined by event organizers, not the performers.
Oasis issued a caution on Friday, Saturday morning and again upon tickets selling out, stating that tickets re-listed on exchanging and reselling platforms, Viagogo and Stubhub, would be disregarded if they appeared for exorbitant prices.
A representative from Ticketmaster stated: “The line is progressing as attendees purchase tickets. As expected, millions of fans are accessing our website, hence they have been queued.
“We advise fans to maintain their position in line, ensure they are using only one tab, clear their cookies, and confirm they are not employing any VPN software on their device.”
