Rotherham, August 16, 2024 — South Yorkshire Police are urgently appealing for information after a disturbing attack on a man in a wheelchair on Highthorn Road, Kilnhurst. The incident occurred near St Thomas Church around 7 p.m. on Friday.
According to police reports, a car pulled up beside the victim, who was in a wheelchair at the time. A woman exited the vehicle and sprayed an unknown substance in the man’s face, causing him to lose consciousness almost immediately. The attacker then swiftly returned to the car and fled the scene.
The woman is described as white, in her 20s, with a slim build and short blonde hair. At the time of the assault, she was reportedly wearing jean shorts, a pink crop top, and white Crocs sandals adorned with charms.
Police are continuing their investigation and are appealing to the public for assistance. A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police stated: “Enquiries are ongoing, and officers are now appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam footage or CCTV.”
