Molly-Mae Hague has addressed her separation from Tommy Fury in a video, asserting: “This is not drama, it is not gossip, and it is not a publicity stunt.”
The duo, who became acquainted during the 2019 season of the ITV2 reality series Love Island, revealed their break-up through individual social media announcements earlier this month.
In January of the previous year, the 25-year-olds celebrated the arrival of their sole child, a daughter named Bambi.
“The past two weeks have been incredibly real,” said the influencer and reality star during the 36-minute video.
“This is genuine life, something we have been navigating as privately as we can, but clearly not privately at all since I have been unable to escape it in recent weeks. And the last thing I want to do is come here and exacerbate that situation.”
She continued: “I do not intend to discuss the last few weeks further; it is not something I feel at ease with.
“As I mentioned, this is genuine life. It is not drama, it is not gossip, and it certainly is not a publicity stunt, as much as I might hope otherwise. This is real life, and it’s truly sorrowful and significant.”
She expressed that she would refrain from further comments out of respect for Fury, stating: “It just isn’t kind,” adding: “I feel like everything that has transpired over the past couple of weeks… has been excessive and magnified ridiculous.”
“It has all become somewhat overstated. And the last thing I wish to do is fuel that fire further or stir things up when it doesn’t require stirring.”
Regarding Fury, Hague remarked: “He is the father of Bambi, and I will always cherish and respect him, and I will undoubtedly have lasting affection for him. We were together for five years, and it is sincerely heartbreaking.”
She concluded by expressing gratitude to her fans: “From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being the most wonderful online companions I could ever hope for.”
Fury calls speculation ‘horrendous’
Earlier this week, Fury indicated that the speculation surrounding the breakup has been “horrendous”.
“These past few weeks have been devastating,” the professional boxer stated on Instagram.
“The unfounded accusations against me have been atrocious; I appreciate everyone who has supported me during this time.”
Hague expresses gratitude to her ‘truest online friends’
Hague also acknowledged her supporters for their encouragement following the separation.
She shared a snapshot of herself resting against a wooden banister with a view of a waterway on Instagram, accompanied by the caption: “Thank you for being the most amazing online friends I could have ever desired.”
The social media personality disclosed their breakup in an Instagram story earlier this month, stating: “I never imagined I would have to write this in a million years.”
“After five years together, I never anticipated our journey would conclude, especially not under these circumstances.”
“I am profoundly saddened to declare that the relationship between Tommy and me has reached its conclusion.”
“I will forever cherish the most significant aspect of my life now and always, my lovely daughter.”
“Without us, there would be no her, and she will eternally be my primary focus.”
Shortly thereafter, Fury shared a distinct Instagram story revealing his “heartbreak” at having to relay the news, emphasizing that Bambi was their “focal point.”
Fury proposed last year at a scenic seaside venue, adorned with countless flowers and petals.
The previous couple also appeared in the Netflix reality show At Home With The Furys, alongside Fury’s half-sibling, former heavyweight world boxing champion Tyson Fury.
