The funeral of Darius Popan, a 15-year-old from Doncaster whose tragic death has led to the arrest of three teenagers as part of an ongoing murder investigation, is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 30.
Darius was discovered with severe injuries on July 27 along the Trans Pennine Trail between Warmsworth and Sprotbrough. Despite efforts to save him, he passed away in the hospital the following day.
In connection with the incident, two 17-year-old boys and a 15-year-old girl have been arrested on suspicion of murder. The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding Darius’s death.
Doncaster Funerals, the organization handling the arrangements, issued a statement: “Following the devastating loss of Darius Popan on July 28, aged 15 years, we are announcing on behalf of the family that the funeral service shall take place on Friday, August 30 from 3.30 pm at Memoria Doncaster and South Yorkshire in Barnby Dun.”
