A male individual has been apprehended following an incident where a child was reportedly removed from a stroller in an attempted abduction at a bustling store in east London.
Law enforcement responded to a call at TK Maxx located on Bromley High Street yesterday, where it was reported that a man had taken a two-year-old from a stroller.
The individual then confronted the mother of the child, asserting that he would ‘take the child.’
The child was safely retrieved, and the suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of abduction.
Bromley MPS reported: ‘On August 28, 2024, authorities were alerted to TK Maxx in Bromley, where a suspect had lifted a 2-year-old child from a stroller, informing the mother that he intended to take the child.’
‘The child was successfully located. The suspect was detained on suspicion of abduction and transported to custody.’
‘The inquiry is ongoing.’
