A 16-year-old boy was urgently transported to the hospital yesterday following a collision involving a motorbike and a car in Doncaster. The incident occurred in the Balby area around 4 p.m. on Alder Grove, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
According to a spokesperson from South Yorkshire Police, the collision involved a grey BMW 3 Series and an orange motorbike. The ambulance service notified the police after the accident was reported. The motorbike rider, a 16-year-old boy, sustained injuries in the crash. Fortunately, his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-altering.
The BMW driver did not report any injuries. In response to the incident, Alder Grove was temporarily closed at the junction with Oakwood Road to allow authorities to secure and investigate the scene. The road remained closed for several hours before reopening at 8:14 p.m.
South Yorkshire Police are appealing to anyone with information about the collision to come forward. Witnesses or those with relevant details are encouraged to contact the police on 101.
