Katie Price is attending court today for her most recent bankruptcy proceedings.
The former glamour model was apprehended at Heathrow Airport last month and appeared in court a few days later, where the judge instructed her to be present at all forthcoming hearings “no ifs, no buts, no holidays.”
Price, 46, arrived at the Rolls Building in central London on Tuesday morning in a taxi, accompanied by a female companion. She was dressed in black and wearing sunglasses to shield her identity, so she refrained from engaging with the awaiting media outside.
Upon entering courtroom 15 of the Rolls Building, Price smiled at the public gallery, saying: “You alright there, guys?”
Introduced by her birth name, Katrina Price, the celebrity’s attorney, Bertie Boer-Roberts, promptly requested Judge Nicholas Briggs adjourn the case.
He sought to hold the proceedings privately, mentioning Price’s “mental well-being” as a key factor. He noted that she “has long been under intense media scrutiny” and that public examination would magnify her financial matters.
He stated that she would provide “more thoughtful responses” in a private discussion, which he asserted would likely facilitate a satisfactory outcome for the trustees.
‘A complicated issue with a lengthy background’
Mr Boer-Roberts likewise indicated that it would be beneficial “to reassess a complicated issue with a lengthy background”.
He stated that Price “is aware of her obligations” and noted that she has “been cooperative” throughout the case thus far.
The judge inquired how he could be assured that Price would appear in court at a later date, adding: “My concern is we’ve been through this before”.
He then questioned if Price had brought any documents with her today and was informed that all pertinent documents had already been submitted.
Lawyer Darragh Connell spoke next, representing the trustee. He sought assurances that Price would attend the private session and that certain documents would be provided.
Mr Connell remarked that “there had been a degree of cooperation” from Price in the ongoing case.
Price’s former spouse Alex Reid arrived at the court during the hearing, dressed in shorts and a T-shirt and appeared slightly out of breath. He is among those owed money by Price.
Price was originally declared bankrupt in 2019 and subsequently for a second time in March this year due to an unpaid tax obligation exceeding £750,000.
She has previously been instructed to remit 40% of her monthly earnings from the adult content platform OnlyFans until February 2027.
Additionally, Price has been mandated to surrender six of her vehicles – including her customized pink Range Rover – to the trustee to assist in settling her debts.
She failed to attend a remote hearing at the Insolvency and Companies Court (ICC) last week, during which the decision to suspend her TikTok income was made.
Price gained notoriety as a Page 3 model during the mid-1990s under the moniker Jordan and evolved into one of the most recognized reality television personalities.
She featured in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004 and again in 2009, and in 2015, she triumphed in Celebrity Big Brother.
