Two of the deceased were killed in an attack on a residential structure in Kryvyi Rih, a mining and industrial hub in southern Ukraine, as stated by Oleksandr Vilkul, the leader of the city’s military administration.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy indicated that the latest assaults involved 81 drones alongside cruise and ballistic missiles, resulting in 16 injuries.
“We will certainly respond to Russia for this and all other aggressions. Atrocities against humanity must not go unpunished,” Mr Zelenskyy commented on X.
Five air raid alerts were activated overnight in the Kyiv area, a region that has been grappling with blackouts following a significant offensive targeting energy infrastructure on Monday.
Debris falling from the overnight assault also caused fires on the capital’s outskirts.
