Sir Keir Starmer is set to caution that life in the UK will ” worsen” before it gets better during his inaugural significant address as prime minister.
Sir Keir will commemorate a week before Parliament reconvenes following an abbreviated summer recess by persisting in his criticism of the previous administration, asserting that circumstances are “worse than we ever envisioned”.
In his statement on Tuesday, the prime minister will express that he and his cabinet “inherited not just an economic void but a societal crisis. And that is the reason we must take action and alter our approach.”
