16-Year-Old Girl Seriously Injured in Sheffield Motorbike Collision
A 16-year-old girl is in serious condition after being struck by a motorbike while crossing a road in Sheffield. The incident occurred at approximately 3:10 PM BST on Friday on Eckington Way, Halfway, just 150 feet from the junction with Rotherham Road North, according to South Yorkshire Police.
The teenager was hit by a black Benelli BN125 motorcycle. The motorbike’s rider immediately stopped at the scene and has since cooperated fully with police investigations. Authorities are currently appealing for any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward and assist with their inquiries.
The girl was quickly transported to a local hospital, where she is receiving treatment for serious injuries sustained in the collision. The police have not yet released further details regarding her condition.
The investigation is ongoing as officers work to gather more information about the circumstances leading up to the accident. The South Yorkshire Police have urged anyone with relevant information to contact them immediately.
