Multi-Vehicle Collision Halts Traffic on A1 in North Yorkshire
A major traffic incident has brought vehicles to a standstill on the A1(M) in North Yorkshire. Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision on the southbound carriageway at Junction 44, near York and Tadcaster.
According to Inrix, a traffic monitoring system, all traffic has been temporarily halted as emergency services respond to the scene. “All traffic is being temporarily held and is currently stationary due to a multi-vehicle accident on the A1(M) southbound at Junction 44 York/Tadcaster,” the system reported.
The incident was reported shortly before 8:30 p.m., causing significant delays for motorists in the area. North Yorkshire Police have been notified and are expected to provide further details as the situation develops.
