Doncaster, South Yorkshire – South Yorkshire Police have issued a renewed appeal for assistance from residents within a half-mile radius of Cantley Cemetery as the search for a missing woman intensifies.
The police are urgently seeking information on the whereabouts of 66-year-old Christine, who was last seen on Monday, August 12, at 5:30 p.m. walking along Cantley Lane toward the cemetery. Over the past ten days, Christine has not been located despite extensive search efforts.
In response to her disappearance, police have significantly escalated their search operations. Specialist officers have been working tirelessly around the clock to investigate the circumstances of Christine’s disappearance. The National Police Air Service conducted a thermal imagery search on August 13, focusing on areas near her last known location. Additionally, Lowland Rescue provided expert search assistance while police deployed various resources, including specialist search teams, off-road bike units, mounted officers, and drones. A specialist search dog has also covered challenging wooded and overgrown areas.
Despite these extensive efforts, Christine remains missing. South Yorkshire Police are now calling on residents living near Cantley Cemetery to review any home CCTV or dashcam footage from August 12 between 5:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. for potential clues about her movements after her last sighting.
Christine is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with very long grey hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black vest top with a floral pattern and orange shorts.
